Education Resource Center (ERC)
The ERC, Martinez Hall 126, offers state-of-the-art technology to teachers in training, the university, and the public. Included are 16 Apple iBook, laptop computers; educational software; training videos; pre-K through Grade 8 literature; subject area books and manipulatives for mathematics, natural science, language arts, special and gifted education, and multicultural education. Within the ERC is the Teacher Educational Development Center (TEDC), funded by the New Mexico Commission on Higher Education. The purpose is to strengthen the basic skills of students enrolled in pre-service teacher education. The ERC also offers Plato Lab, open to NMSU students, which is a computer assisted, personalized instructional system to help strengthen developmental skills.
